Advancing the Gospel in the world’s difficult places
Frontline’s mission of “advancing the Gospel in the world’s difficult places” is happening through a multi-national team serving in more than a dozen countries on three continents. Despite the diversity of settings and challenges as we serve in restricted-access countries, Frontline has three driving purposes in fulfilling our Gospel mission.
Telling the Big Story
Believers everywhere desperately need a renewed vision of Christ and the unstoppable advance of His saving work in all the earth. Our view of God's Kingdom is often too small and limited to what we have experienced. Dispatches from the Front highlights the marvelous extent, diversity, and unity of Christ's Kingdom in our world. Our purpose in producing the Dispatches from the Front film series is simply to tell stories of Gospel advance and open windows to Christ’s Kingdom all over the world. The journal format of each episode underscores the daily unfolding of God's activity on the "frontlines," bringing viewers up-close with sights and sounds from distant corners of the Kingdom.
Equipping Gospel Risk-takers
Preparing messengers for cross-cultural Gospel work is the aim of the Frontline Experience (FX) Program. Desire to reach people who are hard to get to is a good starting point, but the FX program is designed to move people from enthusiasm and interest to experience and direction by helping interns grow in their understanding of missions in a restricted-access setting and of how God has gifted them for such work.
Sending Long-term Workers
There are some 2 billion people who have no access to the Gospel. They live in places where there are no Bibles, no churches, no Christians. None. Beyond identifying and equipping Gospel risk-takers, we want to send them long-term to serve among people who have yet to hear the Good News. We believe that churches should be the laboratory and launch pad for cross-cultural ministry, and by drawing on our experience in hostile settings and connecting workers with teams in the field, FMI is serving churches in their sending role.
